JEFF SCOTT'S Biography
JEFF SCOTT has 32 years experience working in entertainment. With a background in mime/musical theater, Jeff is best known as the Country's foremost (and former) Pee-wee Herman impersonator. While appearing in more than 700 performances at Sea World Theme Parks (at both the Ohio and San Diego parks), he doubled the real Pee-wee for the Big Top Pee-wee movie poster.
As the composing half of Mayday Productions, his work ranges from the mock-u-musical revue: Bombed A Lot! The Music Of Peter Buoy Wryder (produced at both The Rose Tattoo & Theatre/Theater, LA), to full-length musical comedies like: 'Til Death Do Us Start (The Melrose Theatre & Theatre Geo, LA). And since 1995, he's been the main pianist at The Comedy Store., performing regularly with celebrity comics like Jeff Ross, Andrew Dice Clay, Dave Chapelle, Joe Rogan, Pauly Shore, and Dave Attell to name a few.
Other composing/pianist credits include; The Hilarions (during their 3 1/2 year run at Theatre/Theater, LA), The Sirens Of Satire with Penny Wiggins (4 years at The Improv, LA), Dial-M Murder Mysteries (13 years Nationwide), and 7 years with Premiere Radio Network (providing radio stations nationwide with original and parody music).
Jeff occasionally finds time to perform too, mainly as his alter-ego Mr.Del Arte' (an 86 year-old Vaudeville magician...making Jeff the countries first "senior impersonator") Jeff/Del recently went back on the road, opening for his friend comic Dom Irrera. As Theatre Neo's resident music director/sound designer of nine years, he's thrilled that they produced the world premiere of his newest musical: I Was A Teenage Homo! A Scary Fairy Tale (Fall 2007). And the show has been translated into Spanish for it's first international production, fall 2009 in Mexico City.
Besides creating and hosts the website www.americanmusicals.com (an online rolodex of musical theater research/information), Jeff is still most honored to have been invited to audition, and accepted into the world famous French- Canadian Cirque du Soleil's talent pool.
