What's cookin' in your theatre?  More importantly who knows about it?  Whether its arts funding or box office draw, it all comes down to one thing: money.  Money makes the world go round, and it pays for costumes, props, safety gear, lights, scripts, script licensing, the electric bill, and - Oh Yeah - the staff!

So, go see what these folks have planned. Maybe you can join-in.

Another good opportunity that is coming-up is a series of webinars that discuss advertizing and marketing for theatres.  The Marketing in the Millenium series is presented by the Theatre for Young Audiences organization (www.assitej-usa.org) as a part of their Phone Forums series in September is described here: www.assitej-usa.org/#/programs/fall-phone-forums and here: http://mim.io/968381.  Deadline for sign-up is September 6th, 2011.

Another great organization to learn more about getting the word out is the Theatre Communications Group (www.TCG.org)  There is lots to learn from on their web site and annual convention.

The Americans for the Arts organization has a calendar of events posted here:  www.americansforthearts.org/events/  as well as a truck-load of other information all across their web site.  Check it out.

The National Performing Arts Convention is a virtual event that occurs continuously on-line and is a clearing house for many organizations that post events and knowledge there.  They can be found at: www.performingartsconvention.org
